29, April, 2018 – H.E. Ziad Fariz, Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, recently met with Raghu Malhotra, President, Middle East and Africa, Mastercard, to discuss partnership opportunities that will contribute to the country’s efforts to develop an advanced digital payment ecosystem and promote a cashless economy. In addition, the meeting discussed ways to collaborate on supporting the Jordanian government to achieve its goals outlined in the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, which aims to empower all segments of the society with access to financial services to enable them to contribute to the country’s formal economy.
