Resal, which is one of the biggest companies in eGift Cards and digital rewarding solutions; is gladly announcing the sign of a new cooperation agreement with Mastercard who specializes in prepaid cards and payment solutions. This agreement was officially signed to offer and increase the promotion campaigns for Mastercard customers in Saudi Arabia.

Commenting on this cooperation, Mr. Hatem Kameli, CEO, and Co-founder of Resal said that This new agreement with Mastercard, the leading company in payment solutions, comes to support our plans to provide the best services and solutions to our partners and customers in the field of eGift Cards and digital rewards. This will allow all Mastercard users to shop freely from Resal Digital Cards store and explore the collection of more than 400 brands. And it will benefit both Resal and Mastercard customers simultaneously.

Mr. Kameli also added that This step comes within Resal expansion plans to lead the digital gift cards and rewards market, whose size has exceeded more than $700 billion globally with more than $1.9 billion in the Saudi Arabia market alone. Which is lead by Resal with more than 100 companies and leading organizations; and more than 400 brands, providing innovative digital solutions that include E-gift cards management and prepaid digital rewards. Besides offering several services that include Resal channels, Resal store, and Resal Glee for corporations rewards; in addition to Resal Loyalty for loyalty programs solutions.

J.K. Khalil, Country Manager, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Levant, Mastercard said: “Mastercard prides itself on forecasting changing consumer habits and reacting positively. We have seen the acceleration of digital shopping and payment habits in Saudi Arabia where shopping largely moved online, along with a high adoption rate of contactless payments.

“Mastercard always works closely with its partners to cater to consumer needs. This partnership with Resal is a natural extension of the growing digital trend and has the bonus of offering exclusive promotions to Mastercard customers. We will continue to leverage our insights, forge critical partnerships and drive innovation to ensure we deliver the future of payments in the Kingdom.”

A Mastercard study on consumer spending conducted late last year revealed an accelerated growth in online shopping, with 77% of consumers in Saudi Arabia reporting a move online since the start of the pandemic. More than half also credited the fast, convenient and secure transaction features of e-payments as additional drivers to shopping online.

Mr. Kameli also reported that Resal is currently working in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait. And he revealed his plans to expand and reach all GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries at the end of 2021. In addition to the expansion in the loyalty programs market after acquiring “Boonus,” one of the leading companies in customer loyalty solutions.
