Welcome to the Mastercard Content Exchange

Technology holds within it incredible promise and enormous complexities. It has the ability to make today’s world a bit easier and tomorrow’s world a better place—one filled with more connections and opportunities, more transparency and control, more benefits for more people. But that’s only possible if we take a hard look at where technology is headed today and have a deep understanding of how to wield it. Enter the Mastercard Content Exchange. This is where we’re exploring the X-factors driving the changes and possibilities all around us. And we’d like you to be our co-pilot as we navigate it all.

Our mission at Mastercard is to connect and power an inclusive, digital economy that benefits everyone, everywhere by making transactions safe, simple, smart and accessible. Making that happen in the real world every day means seeing the big picture — all the trends and world events shaping the course of innovation, technology, data, digital economies, inclusive growth and more — but also the details: How a pre-loaded government benefits card can give a South African woman a sense of pride and dignity, how blockchain might be the key to knowing beyond a doubt that your dinner was sustainably sourced, and how doing right for society is — again and again — the right thing for businesses, too. However, what’s most important is staying focused on what sits at the center of it all: People. Because, if technology isn’t making lives better at the end of the day, what’s it good for?

The Mastercard Content Exchange is where we’re exchanging thoughts, ideas and stories about the ever-evolving world of technology and the doors it opens, firsthand. This is the place where human-centric stories help us investigate the concept of inclusive innovation and the people, tools, ideas and initiatives working hard to make it an engine for a better tomorrow. We believe that with each story’s journey, we will all gain a richer and more nuanced understanding of where we are, and where we want to go next.

We know we’re not the only ones who care about these issues and dynamics. If anything, we know we can’t create solutions or move innovation forward in the “right” direction without inclusion. That’s where you come in. We’d like you to join us in this exploration of what’s going on behind the scenes, what’s possible, what’s real and what it takes to connect them.
