MIAMI - Mastercard brings together two icons of the new generation of Latin music, Argentina’s Maria Becerra and Venezuelan American Elena Rose, in a unique collaboration that amplifies women’s voices in music and celebrates the passions that bring joy to our life.
“Pa que Volviste” addresses the theme of overcoming the past and shows the artists falling in love with the activities they’re passionate about, such as music, food, sports, and travel. The music video embodies Mastercard’s core belief that when people connect with their passions, they live life to the fullest. It also subtly incorporates the company’s sonic branding.
“This project embodies our brand values and Mastercard’s commitment to fostering inclusion, equity, and empowerment, by supporting emerging talent to keep driving them forward,” said Carlos Quintero, executive vice president of marketing and communications for Mastercard Latin America and the Caribbean. “It also demonstrates our goal of bringing fans closer to their greatest passions — in this case, the transformative power of music.”
For her part, Maria Becerra shared, “This isn’t the first time I’ve collaborated with Elena Rose, and it’s so nice to meet again in a song. 'Pa que Volviste' celebrates self-love and empowerment, and we hope it inspires everyone to connect with what they’re most passionate about.” Elena Rose also commented, “We want this to be the karaoke song that helps you heal all your sorrows. Shooting the video with Mari was so much fun, almost therapeutic. I can’t wait for you to hear this anthem of self-love and resilience that we made with so much love for all of you, warriors!”
“Pa que Volviste” will premiere during the 25th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards® and will be available first-hand on the Priceless.com platform, where fans can listen to the song before it hits streaming platforms, watch the full music video exclusively, view behind-the-scenes footage and access exclusive interviews with the artists. Additionally, Mastercard will provide free “Pass to Priceless” digital passes, which will serve as a certificate that the super fans had access to the new material for the first time. There will also be priceless surprises with exclusive memorabilia signed by both artists, among others.
As part of Mastercard's ongoing initiatives to support the next generation of musical talent in Latin America, the company continues its sponsorship of the Best New Artist Showcase, which kicked off the week during the Latin GRAMMY® week.
Through this series of initiatives, Mastercard reaffirms its commitment to connecting people with priceless opportunities and bringing them closer to their true passions.
