Addressing Gun Violence
June 8, 2020We are deeply saddened by the tragic gun violence that shatters lives and deepens division. We call on Congress, the Administration, state and local elected officials to enact urgently needed and meaningful policies to address the gun violence crisis that has persisted for far too long. Securing our communities and every citizen requires the commitment and contribution of all stakeholders and must consider the complex issues that underlie the problem while respecting important constitutional rights and protections for lawful activities. The steps toward long-lasting change begin with this foundation.
