Amanda Gervay
Senior Vice President, People & Capability, Asia Pacific
Amanda Gervay is the senior vice president, People & Capability, Asia Pacific for Mastercard.
In this role, Amanda leads the company’s HR team in the region and works closely with the leadership to create and apply new strategies for human resources management that drive the business's growth and success. She has been instrumental in shaping the culture and employee experience at Mastercard, adeptly navigating the evolving nature of work and the workplace, while establishing and instilling behaviors that will define the future of Mastercard's workforce. A passionate advocate of volunteerism, Amanda is also the leadership representative for the Employee Resource Groups at Mastercard focused on community and belonging.
With over 25 years of experience working across Singapore, Australia, and China, Amanda has a strong track record of building and leading high-performing, commercially astute HR teams in large, matrixed multinational companies. Prior to joining Mastercard, Amanda was the regional HR lead for Thomson Reuters in Singapore, where she oversaw the people strategy with a focus on diversity, talent and leadership development, as well as organizational change arising from M&A and divestiture projects. In that position, she also led the creation of the people function for Thomson Reuters’ Financial and Risk business, Refinitiv. Before Thomson Reuters/Refinitiv, Amanda held HR leadership roles with Huntsman Corporation, Babcock & Brown, BlueScope Steel (formerly BHP Steel), and AXA Asia Pacific.
Amanda graduated from the University of Sydney and holds a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
