Jess Turner is Executive Vice President, Global Head of Open Banking and API at Mastercard and a member of the company’s Management Committee. She leads Mastercard’s Open Banking business and oversees the development and build-out of new products and technologies to unlock an open data future rooted in innovation, security and inclusion across a global ecosystem. Jess is also responsible for Mastercard’s API services, enabling developers to seamlessly embed Mastercard solutions into their products and services.

An experienced architect of payment experiences, data analytics and digital solutions, Jess was previously Mastercard’s Executive Vice President of New Digital Infrastructure and Fintech. In this role, she led the strategy, design, development and commercialization of Mastercard products including blockchain, digital assets, crypto and open banking. She also drove fintech innovation across platforms including Mastercard’s global startup engagement program, Start Path.

Jess joined Mastercard in 2006 and has held a range of roles of increasing responsibility, including spearheading customer engagement and collaboration with telecommunications companies and banks to deliver both card and digital solutions, as well as driving payment experiences for both emerging and developed markets. She has extensive experience working with key issuers globally and advancing the company’s inclusive growth strategy in North America. Before joining Mastercard, Jess led operations as well as product and business development at Affinion Loyalty Group after beginning her career and finding her love for data at Capital One.

Jess is a champion for women in technology both at Mastercard and across the industry at large. She currently sits on the Partner Executive Council of PayTech Women, having previously served on the board. She sits on the boards of both CNO Financial Group and Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley. A leading voice in the fintech arena, Jess is a contributor for the Forbes Technology Council. She is also an alumnus of the Vanguard Leadership Program, where she spent a year working with other corporations on social responsibility for equality and sustainability in markets at risk.
